The Syrian crisis is one of the most humanitarian crisis of all time of our time having more than 12 million people forced to leave their country or killed. Those who try to escape, put their lives at risk trying to find a better opportunity in other countries due to the falling of theirs. In this article, I can tell the author’s main point is trying to encourage others to help the Syrian people. He notes that $4.6 billion was expected for urgent needs to help, but only a little over the expectation was paid off. Author then claims that the more knowledge of the Syrian crisis we have, is the more help they can receive. This article has a variety of different options how to help the refugees, like even asking others to start a campaign, trying to spread the world. Then he offers his readers to sign a petition to convince Congress to provide aid for the refugees and even have a donation option.

After the Syrian war started in 2011, 6 million Syrians began to flee from their country containing half this population are affected children. This war started all from peaceful protests and the government sent young adults to “take care” of it. The reasoning for their escaping is from the failing of their government, and their people going against each other, even religious groups rival one another. This made the country to commit war crimes and acts that violated the rights of the Syrian people. Bombing of the large cities, villages becoming abandoned, gangs forming to kill another, and the list can go on and on. Many of the Syrian people have built anxieties through the trauma they are forced into and become weak mentally to where they think that they can’t do anything about it. So, the “weak” stay in the devastating situation and end out completely homeless, causing 80% of the people to end up in poverty due to making only $1.90 a day. But the issue of the homelessness is not the main problem, it is that the escapees of Syria are trying to find peace, improved economy and better environment for themselves and their families. The nation has fallen; more than 70% of the population has no access to clean water, are constantly inhaling radiation and deaths upon deaths add up making a bigger decision that it is time to leave. The main topic (don’t feel any argument) of this article is explaining how the Syrian war started. It could be a caution for other countries that something so simple could make it the end of the world. I mean, take a look at the US today, we have our own police officers going against innocence, the ones who are to protect and serve.

Inside out for those who enjoy the occasional exposure of my inner workings.

It has been suggested to me many times….. originally by my Spiritual Teacher…. However now….. more often than not……. I hear my self reminding myself regularly, to devote my life to Practicing the art seeing both sides of my humanity, “Dark & Light”, as an equal part of who I am, embracing both with the same unconditional love. Then perhaps the volume in which I experience My Joy of life Will Double?

Its a crazy thought to consider praying for a man (recent news to me in the Syrian Refugee Crisis) who practices the art of Human Trafficking. Women, Children and Men. Yet thats what Christs says I should do… as much as anything else is to pray for forgiveness and salvation for the wicked and evil doers in the world. “those who are the hardest to love are the ones who need it the most” that it will be up to God and not me to pass judgment at their day of reckoning. Then practice the teachings of Buddha as well…… finding peace and serenity in acceptance of all things just as they are.

My journey with my teacher for almost twelve years yielded many wonderful very powerful teachings, of which Im eternally grateful for. One of them that is really important and powerful is to love unconditionally. Over the years as we unwound the ball of twine that had become who I recognized myself to be, there where allot of knots of “darkness” in there, as I worked on recognizing these aspects of my self and how they manifested in the first place and then accepting them as part of my experience that ultimately is and always will be a part of me, finding love and forgiveness for my self or others that played a part in creating the “knot of darkness” they slowly just became part of the ball of twine again and I just rewound the ball of twine and moved forward…. Today I practice this art of unwinding and rewinding as often as possible so the knots don’t get buried so deep I cant see them anymore on my own…..

So it seems Forgiveness and unconditional love must be given and received to self and by self first and for most so that it can more easily be given to others. Generating a state of consciousness that allows for greater ease of acceptance of things as they are for one own peace and serenity. Truth be told though I am currently finding it dam near impossible to simply accept things as they are in the world where oppressive tyranny is causing so much human suffering! I must continually work ever so due-diligently as suppressing the raging God of War within me that simply desire to reign holly hell on earth down on the Oppressors.

David really brought it home for me to day in a different way. He brought relativity and personal perspective to the table ad help bring awareness to what its like for Syrian Refugee’s When he told the story of the 17 year old Syrian child and how his displacement with his family manifested when his home was destroyed at night, how the sky lite up, not because of the moon but because of the explosion that sent his home into flames…..

What I really love about this is something Frankie said…. it made it palpable… that kid could have been David…. in that moment when I looked at David and reflected the profound statement that just came from Frankie’s mouth I nearly feel out of my seat! It could! have! been! David! or any other young teenager here at W.C.C….

Finally David educated us on how we can make a difference, where to go, what to do, how to get started, and just that we can all do something, though a may seem like very little. Thank you David.
